Private educational institution Kaplan Singapore is setting up six advisory boards to ensure that Kaplan’s academic curriculum becomes more industry oriented, and is better able to prepare graduates to fulfil Singapore’s manpower and industry needs.
The advisory boards will comprise senior executives from various sectors such as banking and finance, IT and project management. The boards will point out the gaps in Kaplan’s existing academic programmes as well as highlight opportunities for students and graduates to better prepare themselves for Singapore’s evolving economic and industrial needs.
Kaplan Singapore offers more than 300 full-time and part-time academic programmes, with over 30,000 young and adult students currently enrolled.
A key measure of success for the advisory boards will be Kaplan’s standing in future graduate employment surveys.
