Nanyang Technological University has been ranked by education research powerhouse Quacquarelli Symonds as the world’s best young university for the fourth consecutive year. The ranking exercise involves 50 universities from around the world that were established within the last 50 years.
NTU was followed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
Additionally, NTU has also moved up the main Quacquarelli Symonds league table for global universities to the 11th place.
NTU did well in terms of reputability among employers and academics, the diversity of its faculty and student populations, as well as research article citations per faculty.
NTU president Bertil Andersson said that higher education will play an increasingly important role in the region’s development, and NTU is well positioned to ride this wave of progress.
