The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) are seeing a rising number of applicants.
SIT has received 14,000 applications this year, which is 1,000 more than last year, for 2,600 places in 41 degree courses.
Courses where there are good job prospects, for example, computing, nursing, and accountancy, saw plentiful demand.
SIT requires its students to take up eight-month to year-long internships, which can last as long as a year.
On the other hand, SUSS received 4,900 applications for 580 places in eight degree courses, such as early childhood education, business analytics, allied health, accountancy and computing.
