Both the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University have been ranked among the top five universities in Asia, according to the 2017 Best Global Universities ranking by the U.S. News & World Report which specializes in digital information and analytics.

NUS was ranked second, while NTU ranked fifth among 263 Asian universities.

Globally, NUS placed 50th, while NTU was ranked 74th.

The ranking is based on a university’s global and regional research reputation and academic research performance.
