Singapore schools will start offering new subjects such as mobile robotics, drama, sports science and electronics, in order to make learning more relevant to real life.
Seven such subjects will be introduced at the upper secondary level in over 60 schools in the next two years.
The changes are part of the Ministry of Education’s drive to encourage students to explore their own interests.
Hopefully, this will also spur the students to pursue related courses at the post-secondary level.
These subjects can be used for entry to junior colleges, polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education.
