Indian author Aditi Krishnakumar has won the Scholastic Asian Book Award (SABA) 2016 based on her work “Codex: The Lost Treasure of the Indus”.

The Scholastic Asian Book Award (SABA) is the joint initiative of the National Book Development Council of Singapore (NBDCS) and Scholastic Asia.

54 submissions had been made for this year’s competition, including stories about the Middle East.

The award was presented by Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Trade and Industry. The award offers the winner $10,000 in cash and a chance for their manuscript to be published by Scholastic Asia.

Ms Aditi juggles writing with her career in finance and ekes out time at night and on weekends to dream up stories.
