The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) opens up important opportunities for post-Secondary students, and many have greatly benefited from the vastly enhanced career prospects as a result of obtaining an ITE diploma.
For example, the newly-introduced Enhanced Nitec Foundation Programme (ENFP) offered by ITE offers a range of useful subjects from beauty and wellness, retail services, facility technology, laser and tooling technology, and mechanical technology, and allows students to complete it in three years.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Education said the programme is meant to help N(T) students who passed no more than one subject in the N-level exams acquire a skills qualification.
About 300 students are currently enrolled in the ENFP and there are 180 places for the programme next year.
Lecturers in this programme also run motivational camps and team-bonding activities for students.
